WIBO Honors – Alumni Honoree Brendan Lally

Brendan Lally is the President of IRL Systems, Inc.; a company that specializes in commercial Fire Alarm & Security Systems installation, service, and maintenance. Founded in 2002, IRL has had year over year growth for all of its 14 years and currently employs a staff of 24 people, with 9 IRL trucks on the road every day serving the five boroughs of New York City. Most recently, we moved into our new Office building in Bensonhurst Brooklyn, built from scratch, with the latest technology, we hope to call it home for many years to come. IRL is still very much in the growth stage and is actively looking for new members to join our team, both in the office and in the field. Under Brendan’s direction, IRL Systems has become one of the leading and most sought after fire alarm and security companies in the city, winning numerous national awards and accolades.

In July 2009, Brendan was recognized as a future and present leader to watch and named one of the “Top 20 Under 40” by Security Systems News for his leadership in the industry.

In 2011 Brendan was honored with the Walter Geier Inspiration Award by WIBO – Workshop in Business Opportunities.  This was an entrepreneurial award for his achievements in business since graduating from the WIBO program in 2008.  Along with this award, as a WIBO honoree, Brendan was also featured on FOX 5’s “Good Day Street Talk” in a segment discussing their business workshop.

In 2014 Brendan was given the IrishEcho Emerald Award for outstanding performance in the entrepreneurship in Irish American circles in New York.

Brendan has also been involved with The Gaelic Football Association through The Brooklyn Shamrocks Gaelic Football Club, which he has been a supporter of for many years.  In 2006, Brendan was nominated as President of The Brooklyn Shamrocks and served as President for three years.  As President, Brendan he started the first-ever youth division.  The Junior Shamrocks are the future of the club and in two short years have risen to the top, winning the 2009 U-10’s Championship.  As President, Brendan also acquired many of the sponsors for the team.  These sponsorships have played a key role in the support and funding for the club.

In 2016, Brendan was honored to be the Guest of Honor at the annual Brooklyn Shamrocks dinner dance.


Brendan is happily married for 14 years to his wife, Sinead.  They live in Brooklyn with their son, Finn (4), their daughter, Claire (3), and their dog, Roger(9).
