Stephen is a visionary leader who raises the bar with knowledge, perseverance, passion, and more. His professional achievements are an inspiration to all.  Stephen has supported the business community for over 30 years.  He has a wealth of expertise with particular strengths in areas such as sales, marketing, and implementing new technology.  Stephen has molded what he learned in the 16-week workshop to build and sell three diverse, multimillion-dollar businesses. His other business is a nonprofit running club “Run2LIVE” which comprises the Healthy Lifestyle University, producer of the I’m Battling Against Diabetes, “I’m B.A.D” Program.

 

A master entrepreneur, Stephen has served on many prominent Boards, starting with membership and participation in the Mayor’s Small Business Advisory Board. He also served as a WIBO Board of Directors member from 2017-2018. Stephen has received numerous awards and honors for his outstanding business leadership and community service, including (but not limited to) the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Collaborative Award.  Stephen is a speaker on topics including community economic development, entrepreneurship, minority, and women’s small business growth.  He is a leading authority in the area of minority inclusion in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. He is the author of several books, articles, and blogs.

Stephen is a champion for economic equity and conducts special outreach efforts targeting marginalized communities. In addition, he is an advocate for turning the problem of recidivism into positive results through the WIBO Gutenstein Family Foundation Program. Stephen is most passionate about training and empowering entrepreneurs to be full participants in wealth creation in the global economy.  Stephen’s goal is to have every graduate maximize the entrepreneurial skills that will lead them to success.

Stephen is molding WIBO’s rich history to reach beyond for an even greater impact in the year ahead. He doesn’t just talk about what needs to get done, it’s reflected in his achievements and we are a better organization for it.
