One of the most common questions among new business owners is “What kind of business entity should I have?” Obviously the answer depends on many factors. What kind of product or service will you be providing, how many owners will there be, what kind of liabilities will you face, and many more. Luckily for us, our long-time friends at Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer LLP (HSFK) contributed an Entity Formation session for WIBO alumni last week at their midtown headquarters, and also treated participants to a delicious lunch.
Thanks to HSF attorneys Mariya Khvatskaya, Daniel DePasquale, and Hamilton Drucker, who presented an hour-long program and then stayed an extra hour answering attendee questions, to Jamie Porco and Asha Matthews, at HSF Kramer for making this this event happen, and to to Shazia Ahmad, John Bessonette, Nicole Caliendo, Brandon Cato, Rita Celebrezze D’Souza, Austin Manes, Izabel McDonald, Eva Tanna, Jeff Trachtman, and many others at HSF Kramer who have provided so much invaluable support to WIBO over the years, from pro bono counsel to meeting space to printing to encouragement. We know we are but one of many causes the firm steps up for, and we are most grateful. We look forward to many more years of partnership in helping entrepreneurs in New York and beyond.
