This meeting was co-hosted by Support Center and focused on organizational life cycles for nonprofits, led by Keith Timko, executive director from Support Center. Support Center is dedicated to empowering nonprofits and social enterprises to transform their leadership and management and advance our vision for social change.
The session covered different phases of nonprofit development from idea to startup to growth and maturity, with participants sharing their current nonprofit ventures including Tamima Black’s “Launch at 21” for foster care youth, Felicia Lin’s Talking Taiwan podcast, and various other social enterprise ideas. Participants discussed challenges like fundraising, volunteer management, and handling organizational disruptions, with Keith providing guidance on resources for fiscal sponsorship and board development. The session included interactive elements where attendees voted on preferences and participated in case study discussions about growing nonprofit operations.
